Patti Ramey
Patti Ramey has over a decade's experience in higher education as a student leader, hall director, residence life director, educator and programmer at private and public universities.
Patti began her career as a Resident Assistant at Texas State University where she learned that every job skill needed in life is taught while on-duty as a RA. Late in her academic career, she realized that her training in Forensic Anthropology and Crime Scene Investigation was not her life's calling and entered grad school in Student Personnel Services. Having received her Masters in Education from The University of South Carolina in 2000, she moved her career to McMurry University in Abilene, TX as Associate Dean of Student Housing and Residence Life. Spending three years there she moved to Oklahoma State University as a Residence Area Coordinator.
During her life journey, it was on a chilly November evening in 1999 that she attended a speaking program entitled "Journey to a Hate Free Millennium". That evening she realized her true calling was to educate people through the power of the spoken word. This single moment began a partnership and friendship with speaker, Brent Scarpo and his company that resulted in a career adventure in January 2006 as a speaker. This career bridges her two life passions, education and speaking, into one package with programs like Living like Mama D-Lessons in Community Service and Leadership and Last Call.
